Who We Are

In the fall of 2022, I took Reiki 1 & 2 again with a different teacher. This time I learned that Reiki is a way
of life and useful in everyday living. This was an eye opener for me: activating my symbols daily and set
my attentions for the day, my communications, interactions and even trips. I learned to feel the energy
moving through my body and experience the power of channeling energy through me to the client. The
way that Reiki just knows where it needs to go in a client and how it doesn’t know time and space (this
was an amazing eye opener for me). After this class, I knew that I had to learn more which led me to
taking Reiki master class and Animal Reiki 1& 2. I was called to complete Animal Reiki Master and
Karuna classes in the beginning of 2023. I then felt called to take a solo trip to Hawaii and take the
Karuna Reiki class again with William Rand and Colleen Barnelli in November of 2023.

Learning Reiki has changed my life. I have learned so much about myself and healed a lot of past
traumas from my life. I feel that I have become more accepting and appreciative of the people in my
life. I learn something new every time I work on a client or teach a class. This is like a great adventure
of discovery and self-love.

Most recently, I have completed Kid Reiki Master training. This is an amazing class for child healing and
living more like a child with the sense of wonder and playfulness. Kid Reiki is a new program that has
less than 30 people who have completed this class as of April 2024. The energy from this class is so
healing and teaches us to not be so serious and how important playing(creating and just enjoying live) is
to our everyday lives.

I was drawn to Reiki because I had a lot of healing to do and a great deal of forgiveness to deal with for
myself and other people in my life. I have taken on this quote by Maya Angelou “Do the best you can
until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” We all have a thought of why someone
treated us the way they did, but we need to remember this quote and forgive and do better moving
forward. I also feel that we can all heal ourselves! Yes, that is what I said. We just need to open the
part of our bodies and minds to understand what our aches, pains and bodies are trying to tell us. If we
open, those lines of communication within ourselves and are truly honest with our ability to work
through our emotions and feel what we need to feel. Sitting with these feeling and understanding what
they represent to ourselves can go a long way to heal ourselves and our parents, grandparents, our
children, our communities, states and the world.
